This game is made by Irem in the year 1987. This is a sci-fi-shootem-up. You fly with the stick, with the one button you shoot normal. When you holding longer the fire-button you shoot bigger lasers. Each level has an endboss. There are many extras. Some improve your weapon, some your speed. Most enemies fly, some move on the ground of the levels.
This is a good game. But it is very difficult! I never went past the first level. The graphics and the music are very well done. The best is not to stand in a position, always move the controllerstick. The original coin-op wasmade in Japan, the conversations for homecomputer were made by Germans. This game has follower, it was the start of the R-Type-series. The alien-race of this game is named Bydo. The name 'R-Type' is because of the player-spaceship, a R9-model
The controls are good, it is good to play. There is music in the game.
